Come and join the Windlesham Art Group

The Windlesham Art Group is a well established club set up nearly twenty years ago by Helen Perbet and currently has over twenty members of various abilities and creative interests. It meets every two weeks (except August) in the Link at St John’s Church, Windlesham and is open to all ages and a wide geographic community – from Camberley to Sunningdale, Windsor to Chobham and beyond.

Some members are new to art and are exploring and developing their abilities, techniques, and choice of subjects.  Beginners are welcome and are offered guidance and support from the more experienced members.  Some of the more practised members are now exhibiting and even selling their creations.  They all have several things in common: they like being an artist and they like the friendly, relaxed, undemanding social atmosphere of the group with the freedom to practise without interference or to seek the advice and opinion of other members.

Each year there are social events which include partners – a BBQ or picnic in the Summer, and a festive lunch at Christmas. Occasionally there are educational visits or demonstrations.

So if you are interested in testing and practising your abilities in watercolours, oil, acrylic or gouache, or in pencil, crayon, charcoal or pastel, come along on a Tuesday morning. The dates are shown in the Windlesham Magazine and the group meets at 11.15 until 14.15. Each session costs £3 to cover the overheads and includes coffee/ tea and biscuits. Bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy yourself.
