Windlesham Christmas Care

Many of you will remember the wonderful lunches organised in previous years by St John’s Church in St John’s Hall for Windlesham residents who found themselves alone on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, this cannot happen this year due to COVID -19 restrictions. However, St John’s, The Windlesham Society, The Half Moon and Windlesham Community are teaming up and would like to bring a bit of festive cheer to Windlesham residents who are not able to join family and may feel isolated this Christmas.

If allowed under government guidelines at the time, this would be a small socially distanced lunch in The Half Moon for those who are able to leave home. For anyone alone and not able to leave the house, a hot Christmas meal will be delivered to them at home. If tighter restrictions are in place and lunch in person is not allowed, we will deliver the meals instead.

Many organisations are helping us to identify those who may appreciate a hot meal on Christmas Day but we would hate to miss anyone. If you are interested or know someone who may benefit from this, please send contact details (ideally with a telephone number) to Samantha McLaughlin or Sam Lea either via a Facebook message or for those not on Facebook, please email and one of them will give you a call to discuss.

We would like to reassure everyone that all information will be handled in the strictest confidence and with full data security, and in line with current safeguarding and GDPR regulations
