Windlesham Christmas Tree Lighting

Windlesham Christmas Tree Lighting

Our thanks to everyone who came and celebrated the start of Christmas in our lovely village.

With special thanks to Dr Brian May, Anne Brummer and Grace (The Hedgehog), who switched on the lights and drew the first raffle ticket. It was great to see so many people taking photos and Brian signing so many autographs.

Thank you to all involved from Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue.

Many thanks once again to Corrine & Bob and the staff at The Sun for the use of their garden and for providing the refreshments for the evening.

Many thanks to both Bob Webb on Sax and the choir from St Johns Church who really put everyone in the festive mood with their Christmas renditions and Carols.

The attractive and varied decorations around the barriers of the tree were once again made by the pupils of Coworth Flexlands, Windlesham Village Infant School and Woodcote House School, we would like to thank the staff and all the children who took the time and applied their creative skills to help make the tree look so pretty.

The raffle was once again very popular thanks to the kind generosity of Harper Asprey Wildlife Rescue, Runnymede Homes, Strutt & Parker, The Sun, The Half Moon, The Quality Meat Co, Windlesham Barbers, The Surrey Cricketers, Ashleigh Martin’s Hair Salon, Newton Rowe, Savannah, Deirdre and Joy who donated so many great prizes resulting in a record year for our Christmas raffle generating just over £500!
