We will be holding our first Windlesham Matters of 2020 on Saturday 25th January 10am-12pm at The Windlesham Club & Theatre, Kennel Lane, Windlesham.

We have invited the relevant councillors from SCC, SHBC and WPC who are responsible for Windlesham Wards to join us.

The Windlesham Club & Theatre have once again very kindly donated the venue free of charge with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits for this community event.

At previous meetings, traffic and road calming measures have dominated the discussions so this meeting will mainly focus on what actions Windlesham residents would like to see introduced in Windlesham and below is a message on behalf of the resident-run Windlesham Traffic Group who are also looking for volunteers from all areas of the village. Please get in touch with them directly as per their instructions if you would like to be involved.

Message from Windlesham Traffic Group:
“A small group of local residents are looking to gather information and ideas on how traffic using our village as a short cut might be slowed down and discouraged. It is intended that the information gathered will develop a view of the whole village in order for a holistic plan to be prepared. It is then anticipated that the plan would be presented to the Parish, Borough and County Councils so that when funds become available for works to begin, the views of the village residents are already understood.

Initially, this will take the form of several focus groups, each of which will discuss specific entry/exit points to our village, as well as the centre. Each focus group will require 8-10 local residents, will be held in one of the local hostelries and will take up to two hours.

If you would like to contribute your thoughts to one of these focus groups, please email with your name, postcode and availability for such a meeting (weekdays or weekends, mornings, afternoons, or evenings).

Thank you.
