Windlesham Village Post Box:

Windlesham Village Post Box:

The Windlesham village Post Box made its journey back to the village this week and is now in its new position in a brick pillar outside the Dairy Mews Development.

Two years ago, Cllr Barry Stacey took personal responsibility to ensure that the Post Box was safely removed from the old Post Office and securely stored at the sorting office in Woking, even visiting it from time to time to ensure its safety and condition.

During the two years Barry has worked with both the conservation officer and Runnymede Homes to gain agreement on its new central location. Runnymede Homes have kindly positioned the Post Box within one of its brick pillars and repainted the box  in time for the launch of their development this weekend.

Cllr Barry Stacey will be at the Meet the Councillor session on Saturday 27th January at The Surrey Cricketers between 10am -12 Noon, but in the meantime on behalf of The Windlesham Society and Windlesham Village we would like to thank both Barry and Runnymede Homes for bringing our village Post Box back home.
