Protecting, Preserving, and Connecting Our Village

Our Roots,
Your Community

Founded in 1978 and revitalized in 2012, The Windlesham Society is a non-political charity run by residents, for residents. While our name traces back to the ancient 'homestead on the Windle Brook,' our focus is firmly on the future.

We act as a friendly watchdog for Windlesham’s unique heritage and natural environment. Whether we’re scrutinising planning applications, hosting "Meet the Councillor" sessions, or organising village litter picks, we are here to ensure our village remains a beautiful, heard, and highly-valued place to call home.

More than just a landmark, our historic red telephone box is a heartbeat of the community.

Thanks to the ongoing support of our members and donors, the Windlesham Society was able to purchase and preserve this piece of our village heritage. Today, it serves a new purpose: providing a home for the local Community Library and housing a life-saving defibrillator.

Our Positive Impact

By becoming a member, you aren't just supporting a society; you are powering a community-led movement to ensure Windlesham remains the village we all love.
