A Tidy Village, New Friends, and a Lost Pair of Glasses!
Our latest community litter pick was a true demonstration of village pride, bringing together residents for a productive and sunlit afternoon across Windlesham.

While the primary mission was cleaning up our lanes and green spaces, our volunteers also turned into an impromptu lost property team! A grey felt Specsavers case containing a pair of glasses was recovered during the pick. If you dropped them, or know a neighbour who has been hunting for their specs, please email the Society so we can get them safely returned.
On the cleanup front, our teams made a massive dent in the roadside rubbish. While it was frustrating to log and report several instances of sneaky fly-tipping around our village, along with the usual endless haul of cans, bottles, and cigarette packets, the enthusiasm of our volunteers far outshone the litter. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of how much care and pride our community holds for our shared local spaces. And a big thank you to Fieldhouse Coffee shop for giving our volunteers some refreshments at the end of the pick.
